The burden placed on America’s Nurses and Health Professionals by the COVID-19 Pandemic has been tremendous. Yet they handled that burden day after day, month after month (and year after year!) with a dignity, determination, and compassion, that we all saw up close and personal through the work of a member of the Greenway USA family.
Caroline Nolty, RN has been a registered nurse for over 27 years working for Northwell Health in their Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology Department. Caroline also serves as Greenway USA’s in-house Healthcare Design Manager. At Greenway USA, we see great value in having nurse involvement on all of our healthcare projects. After all, nurses are the ones using these spaces on a daily basis taking care of patients and providing care. Who better to be involved in infectious control, layout, equipment, and logistical discussions during the design and construction process on healthcare projects? In addition, as a member of the Nursing Institute for Healthcare Design (NIHD), Greenway USA promotes the collaboration of inter-professional expertise on healthcare construction projects.
As you can imagine, Caroline did not have a lot of time to spend on Greenway USA projects during the height of the COVID crisis. However, with the effects of the pandemic lessening we are delighted to have more of Caroline’s time and we thank her and all nurses during National Nurses week!
