COVID-19 Return to Work Policy

Here at Greenway USA, we are actively monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic within the United States as well as globally.  We are well aware of the social and economic impact the virus has had especially within our industry.  The most important thing to focus on during these strange and hectic times is first and foremost, the health and well-being of our employees, clients, subcontractors and their families.

Safety has always been a priority for Greenway USA prior to the outbreak.  We have continued this trend throughout the pandemic by adapting our own safety policies as well as conforming to the safety policies in place by the state and our clients.  Every preventative measure possible is being taken in order to combat this virus.  We have been adhering to all state, federal and CDC guidelines as well as applying some of our own precautionary measures to ensure the Greenway USA family, as well as the community, remain healthy.

We have continued to offer all of our services for essential projects while pulling out of non-essential projects throughout the United States.  All non-essential employees have been asked to work from home.  We are taking advantage of online platforms to continue working and communicating with our employees and subcontractors virtually. This reduces contact with other individuals in order to practice social distancing and mitigate the risk of spreading the virus.

For essential employees still coming into the office, we offer these precautionary measures:

  • alcohol-based sanitizing stations located throughout the office

  • access to protective facemasks and gloves within the office

  • applying germinator services and products to all surfaces in the office and on sites to kill virus’ and prevent them from growing for up to 90 days

For essential employees working out in the field on sites, we offer these precautionary measures in accordance with the State of New York.

  • Our contractors and consultants have read and reviewed the DOH’s Interim Guidance, and are operating in accordance with said guidelines

  • We are not allowing more than one worker on indoor sites that are less than a 250 square foot area unless an aspect of the job requires more than one person

  • We offer disinfecting stations, disposable face masks as well as gloves for all workers on Greenway USA sites unless workplace activities require a higher degree of protection, in which case N95 respirators will be used in accordance with OSHA guidelines

  • For any tightly confined spaces such as cars or elevators, there will be only one person allowed in said area unless all parties are wearing face coverings.  Then. at most, 50% of the space will be occupied

  • Any site with narrow hallways or spaces will have directional and spacing tape set in place

  • Informative signage, consistent with the DOH’s signage will be posted on job sights

  • Scheduling on sites will be staggered in relation to breaks and start times, especially if confined spaces are involved

  • Designated delivery areas have always been in place and will continue to be in place to the full extent in order to enforce social distancing

  • Instructions on how to properly clean facilities are provided along with our own preventative measures such as the germinator disinfecting service is implemented as well

  • All employee’s symptoms are being monitored. If an employee contains symptoms, they are asked to stay home.  If there is an employee who had Covid-19, preventative measures will be taken upon their return to work.

These countermeasures among others are being used to protect the Greenway USA team while also providing the same high-level services as usual.  Greenway USA wants to assure the community that we are not letting this virus get the better of us.  Moving forward, we will continue following the updates for this virus and adapting our policies in an effort to stay on top of this pandemic and ensure a swift return to normalcy.
