BUILDING ENGINEER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide routine and preventative maintenance.

• Complete regular and emergency electrical and plumbing repairs.

• Log and maintain the work orders initiated during shift.

• Assist painters and housekeeping staff when assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 years of comparable work experience.

• Skilled at operating power tools, have basic knowledge of electric and plumbing.

• Able to lift and move furniture and appliances and stand for many hours at a stretch.

• Able to climb multiple flights of stairs if elevator fails.

• High School Diploma or Trade School Certificate or its equivalent.

• Basic knowledge of computer skills is a plus, but not required.

• Experience working with elderly, disabled and /or formerly homeless population is a plus.
